Experiencing unusual USPS shipping adjustments recently?

Hello. Our store has been hit with a crazy number of shipping adjustments that don't seem legit. I realize this was an issue back in July of 23... but these are more recent. Trying to find out if there was another systemic "thing" going on with USPS. 300+ shipping adjustments  of $3.00 or greater (some as high as $20!) but only on 10 specific days:

Anyone experience anything similar? Trying to figure out what's going on and how I can get this taken care of.

Same, this has now happened for the third or fourth time for us. About $500 worth of adjustments, each like $6. Shopify support does little to help.

Still getting TONS of these and they are over .05" inch or .07 oz discrepancies! For real! And we have NO WAY TO DISPUTE them with @Shopify or the USPS. 
Absolutely ridiculous. Feels like USPS has just found an irrefutable way to make more money as we have absolutely no say in their unfair adjustment method. I have standardized box sizes and VERY accurate weights for them and my products. I even overestimate them. If they mishandle the box, it gets wet or something else that changes the box materially...I have no way of controlling that. 
So now what SHOPIFY? Are we just to accept these charges without question?
