All things Shopify and commerce
Over the last month or so we are getting orders that will say "expired" where the payment isn't going through in a timely manner. Once it does there is a note saying it was "manually marked as paid for". We don't physically go in and fix these. It's like they are run through a second time and then they are ok. Then it shows the customer is getting charged twice for the orders so they call to see what's going on. It's actually a hold the bank puts on there just as if they ran their card more than once. AND on the order it will show up as us oweing them a refund but we don't because the tranaction only went through once.
Is anyone else seeing the same thing with their stores?
Hi,
This is Richard at PageFly - Shopify Advanced Page Builder app.
Yes, there have been reports of similar issues with Shopify orders recently. It seems that some orders are experiencing delays in processing and are being marked as "expired" initially. However, the payments eventually go through, sometimes with a delay.
Here are some possible reasons for this behavior:
Payment Gateway Issues:
Shopify System Issues:
Hoping my solution helps you solve your problem.
