Facebook & Instagram App - Sync catalog independently of pixel selected

I've selected the pixel I want to use on the Facebook side, but I do NOT want the catalog to sync to that dataset. Is there a way to "break" this up, and sync the catalog separately (or not at all), using the Facebook & Instagram app?
