All things Shopify and commerce
Hi All
I have recently moved my shop over from PrestaShop to Shopify.
When trying to setup the Facebook & Instagram Sales channel I am running into a problem.
I can connect to Facebook fine, but when it comes to selecting Business Assets I get the following error message for Facebook and Instagram:
Each asset is already associated with a different shop. Please disable one to proceed.
I have disconnected Facebook from my PrestaShop account; I have removed Prestashop App link in Facebook; and I removed PrestaShop as a Partner in Facebook Business Manager. However it still does not work.
Any help will be appreciated!

This means one of your business assets (for example, Pages, ad accounts and Instagram accounts) within Meta Business Manager is connected to a different shop either on Prestashop or Shopify.
You might want to try and analysis your Facebook/Instagram sales channel on Shopify from scratch again.
Hi. Yes it was attached/ assigned(?) to our PrestaShop site but we have removed that.
I have tried adding the Facebook/Instagram sales channel in Shopify several times to no success.
Even yesterday with help from Meta support we deleted heaps of things in Facebook; and supposedly removed all assets related to the store in Commerce Manager....but still no luck!
😥
Anyone else have any ideas!
After a year of trying to figure this problem out. I have finally got my shop to work. Its not necessarily a flaw in the system, but more redundant communication between platforms. I found out that my Instagram account was connected to my Facebook page and the system read it as being attached to another asset. Its very odd, but I went to my Facebook Business page under "Manage Page". I then went to settings to "Linked Accounts" and disconnected Instagram from Facebook. It's not necessary to connect Instagram with you Business account in Facebook. It's only necessary to connect Instagram to Facebook in the Instagram App. So really it comes down to the order of Connection. At least this fixed my issue with the same Error Code
Hello this is very interesting I was wondering if you could please help me figure out this same issue I have been trying to fix it for over 1 year. It's still not resolved could you please walk me through it real quickly I would appreciate it alot.

Thank you for commenting back to your question. It helped me! It is weird that there was no other answer to your question.
This fixed my problem, after spending the entire day talking with Shopify and Meta support to no avail. Thank you so much for coming back to update the thread !
