Facebook store stuck in review for over a month

My Facebook shop has been stuck in review for over a month now. I had been having issues updating my store where I was unable to submit the store for review and was getting weird error messages. I was in contact with Facebook support for that and another issue, and they helped me resolve it and I was able to make changes and submit it for review after their help, but it has been stuck in review since then. Facebook support had told me it can take a few weeks for shops to be reviewed and approved, but its been over a month and I'm starting to wonder if it will ever happen. I have new products I want to organize in my shop, but I don't want to make any changes and potentially push it further back in the review process.  Any ideas on solving this issue?

Thanks for reaching out and sharing your question here! I'd love to hear more about what kind of business you have and types of products you sell.

 

I understand that your Facebook Shop has been stuck in review for quite some time and you've communicated with Facebook Support but have still been stuck in review. It can take Facebook up to 48 hours to review and approve your store. However, I'll list a few troubleshooting steps below to help get this resolved for you.

 

Troubleshooting Steps:

 

  • Login to your Shopify admin, and select the Facebook Sales Channel.
  • Select Settings in the Facebook Sales Channel
  • On the following page scroll down to Facebook Page and select Disconnect and then Reconnect your page.
  • After this step, your Shop will show as in review and you'll need to wait the 48 hours for the review to be completed on Facebook's end.

 

If after the 48hrs you're still seeing the same issue of your store being in review, we may need our Technical Support team to take a closer look at your settings. You can reach out directly to our Live Support via chat, email or scheduling a call-back for phone support.

Hi Victoria

 

    Now I have a store on shopify and I see the process might take 4 weeks.. Is that really the case ? I am concerned waiting 4 weeks and nothing happens but I am also concern in following your recommendation and the process starts again and I need to wait another additional 4 weeks. I am already 2 weeks waiting which is very frustrating.  What is the average approval time now in Sept 2022 ?

I tried this but when I go to disconnect it won't let me as it says I don't have permission when it's only my who has access to my page

Hi @NathanJones,

 

If you're having issues with permissions then you'll be best served contacting Meta/ Facebook directly as Shopify cannot assist. If you go to the Facebook channel you should be able to see an option to "Get support" that will put you in touch with Meta's support team.

This is unacceptable that someone from Facebook cannot  address the long wait for Store stuck in approval.  How are we expected to run our businesses when they can't run theirs?
