I recently bought an item which was admittedly too cheap, but I was reassured that it was a Sponsored Google Ad and that I could pay through Shopify. It turns out that it is fake and the Shopify URL provided in the order email is fake.
I tried to report to Shopify but I need an actual legitimate Shopify order URL to report. What about the scam websites? They are using Shopify's IP. I reported scam ad to Google.
I have started my own chargeback with Amex.
I got scammed too! I don’t know how to report it
Hello @andrew781 !
Sorry to hear about your negative online shopping experience. Try to send as much evidence and screenshots to Shopify so they can begin taking action on these scammers as soon as possible. While they probably won't be able to do anything about your order, they can work on notifying customers about what a legitimate transaction looks like.

@andrew781 Apart from reporting this store to Shopify end, you can also check the history records when you do the purchase and save the URL properly, and share more details with Shopify to push them and further check this issue.
You can also seek help from local police and get more feedback about how to get your money back. Thank you!
