Favicon icon not shown in Google Search in any browsers

Hi, I updated my favicon icon a week ago. I've waited for it to show up in Google search but it won't happen. I have tried through all the solutions for this issue, but none of them work. Those includes:

1. Resizing favicon image according to the "Google standard" both from my design and by adding this code to Theme.liquid file.
2. Add a link tag to the header of your home page with this syntax. 

   <link rel="shortcut icon" href="/path/to/favicon.ico">

3. Wait.

Can anyone help me figure out how to fix this? Thank you very much.

PS: Favicon icon does appear in the tabs opened from browsers.

I just wanna leave a note here for someone who may have gotten or will get the same issue like me in the future. So after waiting for 10 days-ish, my favicon eventually appears in Google search. No need to take any further action, just follow instruction on how to add a favicon to Dawn theme and wait.

@RiisiPoikka here's documentation from Google specifically about that: https://developers.google.com/search/docs/appearance/favicon-in-search

Read that and make sure you have everything according to their guidelines.

Another thing you could do is change the title tag (SEO title I think Shopify calls it) on a page and check google search results a few days later. If the title has changed and still no favicon, there is likely a problem in your code or something in those guidelines above. If not, maybe that page just takes a while to get crawled by Google. In that case you could also try manually requesting a page get crawled in Google Search Console.
