All things Shopify and commerce
We have two brick and mortar locations, plus a third seasonal one. We spend a lot of time creating transfers for products between locations (not only to even out stock but also for every new order of product we receive, which is 10-15 times a week). The shopify transfer UX is incredibly inefficient so posting here in the hopes that others will vote it up so that it eventually gets seen (and heard).
Currently a search window opens up where we search for the products to add to the transfer. In this window, we can see the quantities at each location but cannot enter the quantity to be transferred. That happens in the next screen where we can no longer see the current quantity at each location. I guess they expect us all have photographic memories. It would be great if we could enter the quantity to be transferred on the same screen where we can see the current inventory by location.
Also, when we add more products to an existing transfer, the products are added to the bottom of the list, so we have to scroll all the way to the bottom to enter the quantities and then back up to the top to search for the next products we want to add. Sounds trivial, but when you're creating a lot of these and putting a lot of products on them, it is a huge time hog. If the most recently added products appeared at the top, it would be much more efficient for users.
We would also request an update to the product transfer window to exclude products with 0 quantity and/or to sort by quantity at the origin location.
