All things Shopify and commerce
Hi Everyone!!
My online store has about 2 months and we are managing to get a few "add to cart" but it's hard to generate conversions. I used Clarity to review behavior and am noticing that maybe the homepage could be optimized? But to be honest, I'm not sure if I should change it. I would really appreciate your feedback on what has worked for you to help people finish the purchase 🙂
Thank you!!
Hi @andreagarcia07. When i first clicked on your site I was greeted with the phrase "Adventure Awaits! Discover the Magic of Prima Cotton". At first glance, it was not clear to me what your store was selling and I asked myself is this a website about adventures? What's prima cotton? Remember, you only have a quick couple of seconds to grab someone's attention when they first land on your site. I then scrolled and realized this was for baby clothes. I would focus on changing the H1 and H2 and optimizing this for SEO. I do like keeping prima cotton i think that's a good selling point, in the H2 but saying Made with Soft, Hypoallergenic Fabric or something along those lines.
Thank you!! I appreciate your suggestions, I think you're right!
Hi @andreagarcia07,
I am from Mageplaza - Shopify solution expert.
I would be happy to review your website and provide feedback on the performance. Here are some recommendations to improve your conversion rate:
1. Monitor Your Cart Abandonment Rate
A high cart abandonment rate can be particularly frustrating for your business, especially after investing significantly in attracting visitors to your site. This issue indicates that many potential customers are deciding not to complete their purchases, contributing to low conversion rates.
To address this, you can remind customers about the items left in their carts and encourage them to complete their purchases by:
2. Improving the speed and performance on Mobile and desktop.
3. Adding favicon logo
A favicon is a tiny logo that usually shows up in a browser tab. It is particularly crucial for new websites as it enhances user experience by helping visitors quickly recognize your site when they have several tabs open in their browser.
4. Adding promotional sections
You should add several promotional sections such as Best sellers, New arrivals, On sales, to catch the attention of customers. Also, adding add to wish list is another way to encourage customers to buy your products. Here is a example:
I hope some of my suggestions are helpful, feel free to give me any feedback.
Good luck!
