Well, it's funny how as soon as I posted my first forum message, my inbox got swarmed by these so called Shopify experts! I'm starting to wonder if anyone out there actually entertains these folks! 😄😑

Anyway, I've put up a little message in my chatbox function and even in my signature. Let's hope it does the trick and keeps the spammy experts at bay! 🚫💌

Thanks for surfacing this and I apologize for the poor experience. The internet has a real spam problem and, unfortunately, online businesses make a for a good target. 

 

If this occurred in the Shopify Community messaging system, then please feel free to share their usernames to me in a private message. Otherwise, I'd welcome you to share their emails (if applicable) and I can ensure we action their accounts accordingly.

Hi Trevor,

I appreciate your response. Nowadays, most messages are being sent directly through messaging systems or even via Facebook or Instagram private messages, as well as through messaging systems linked to our Shopify website. However, many of these messages mention that they have come across the XX question asked in this community and then proceed to offer their services.

It's annoying I hope this mention will discourage them.
