filter options get reset

I have added availability and size variant options in the filter. If user select any filter options and then change the sorting option from top right on the collection page it removes all the selected filter options.  

steps to re-produce the issue. 

1- Open any collection page.

2- Open filter and sort. Select/change availability and size options. Apply it.

3- Change sorting option. e.g "Featured" or "Price, low to high"

4- All the previously selected filter options get removed.
