During the night it appears someone used my email address to set up a Shopify account without my knowledge. I have received a range of emails concerning a new account linked to my email address including activation enabled and two step verification being enabled. This is fraudulent as I have never had an account nor do I currently want a Shopify account. I have tried to report this through shopify but am getting nowhere. Any advice?

On the bright side, you’ve brought it to the right place because if contacting Shopify didn’t work before, a member of customer support would probably come across this soon and direct you on steps to take. In the meantime, you can also try checking for whatever store the person created and sending the link here, so we can help report it.
