Free shipping within collections

Hi, I'd devised several combos for my customers, so they could acquire a bunch of the products we are selling. These combos would be in collections and I would offer them free shipping. But after going deep into this community seeking how to solve this, I'd found out that it's not possible. So I created a #shopifyhack which I tested and it works for me. This is how I did it:

1. Add a new product.
2. Choose Material for the variants & add all the different products of the collection to it.
3. Assign pricing for this product.
4. Create a custom free shipping rate and assign it to this product.

The app provides a simple rule creator for more complex free shipping scenarios.  
In this instance, you could create a rule that offers free shipping based on the presence of a product collection inside your cart.
