Hi there,
Please may I know how do we mark the order status as 'Completed' after it has been fulfilled?
Currently most of our orders that have 'Fulfilled' status is showing 'On its way' on the order status which is quite confusing.

In Shopify, the status of the order (e.g., "On its way") is connected to the shipping and fulfillment updates rather than being marked manually as "Completed." Here’s how you can address the confusion with your fulfilled orders:
Solution Steps:
1. Change Shipment Tracking Status:
-Shopify updates the order status based on tracking information. If the shipment is marked as "In Transit" or "On its way" by the courier (e.g., Singapore Post), the order page will reflect that.
-Make sure the tracking number has been updated correctly and is being tracked. If the package has already been delivered but Shopify shows it as "On its way," the issue might lie with the tracking system.
2. Mark Orders as Delivered Manually:
-Shopify does not provide a native "Completed" status. However, you can:
-Go to Orders > Select the relevant order.
-If necessary, remove the tracking number if it causes confusion.
-Use the Archive button to indicate that the order is complete and no longer active.
3. Use a Custom Fulfillment Flow:
-If you want a clearer indicator for your customers, you can add tags or use Shopify's Order Status Page customization:
-Automation: Add a tag like "Completed" manually or through an automation app after fulfillment.
-Customize the message on the Order Status Page so it says “Delivered” or “Completed” once the fulfillment is processed.
4. Third-Party Apps (Optional):
You can use an app like Tracktor or ParcelPanel to sync tracking information better and update the status to "Delivered" as soon as the shipment is complete.

Normally, order status is automatically updated based on the location of the package, without manual marking. If the order is completed but still shows "On its way", it may be due to the order status not being updated in time.
