Full width vs Desktop vs Mobile pictures

Hi there,

 

I am having trouble with the header picture I've uploaded to my home page. It shows up differently on the full width vs. desktop vs. mobile. The picture is already 1600x1000 which is the recommended size. Are there any hardcode tricks to help fix this issue?
