Is it wise to leave your advertising to a marketing firm or an app like Zeely?  My goal is to generate targeted ads to bring traffic to my business site. Or does someone have a proven method to do the same without paying the high cost of advertising?  Help!

Depends how much you know about advertising and marketing and also how much time you have on your hands.
Marketing isn't really a one-size fits all kind of situation so one person's guide/strategy may not work for you. Ultimately you need to weigh up the cost of hiring a firm against the sort of volume you expect to be selling.

If my answer has been helpful to you, please give it a like and accepted solution. I greatly appreciate it 🙂

Hi @InspiredOne,

Deciding whether to employ a marketing firm or an app like Zeely depends on your specific goals and budget, to be honest.
Here's my take on both -

Using a marketing agency -

  • You need sufficient budgets
  • Sufficient profit margins to accommodate for agency costs
  • You need a good baseline. Some visitors and revenue / order data. Agency can help amplify efforts
  • Sufficient bandwidth. Nobody can sell better than you can sell your own products. So you or your team needs to be involved in every campaign.

Using an App -

  • Limited budget needed
  • If you prefer being more hands-on with each campaign and performance, this might be a good choice.
  • You still need some expertise in-house to drive this. Using the app and then running A/B tests to optimize your spends is still a job to be done.

Some other high-effort but cost-effective ways to increase traffic -

  1. Search Engine Optimization (SEO) -
    • Optimize Keywords on your product titles and descriptions
    • Enhance On-Page SEO: Improve meta tags, headers, and overall site structure for better search engine visibility.
  2. Social Media Marketing
    • Choose 1-2 prominent social media channels for your brand and create good quality content. You can get an intern / freelancer to help you here to reduce costs.
  3. Email Marketing
    • Collect email addresses through website sign-ups, contests, or events.
    • Regularly update your audience with news, offers, and promotions to maintain engagement and drive traffic.
    • Setup cart abandonment, browse abandonment flows
  4. Collaborations and Partnerships
    • Partner with influencers and bloggers who have a relevant audience to promote your business.
    • Leverage the reach of friends, family, and collaborators to share your content across their networks.

Hope this helps. I'd love to hear from you if any of these insights were helpful!
