Hello!

I have been trying to get Drip to work with my Shopify store for weeks. It says "To do this, please install the following CNAME records to your domain’s DNS settings."

I try to and it never works!

Help meeee, lol!

Hello,

There should be a 1 click way of getting Drip to work with your Shopify store by adding it through the app store on Shopify oppose to going through their website. When doing this you create the Drip account through the Shopify app and not directly through their website. Try downloading the app in the app store. There shouldn't be a need to set up the CNAME this way.

I have already installed it. Should I uninstall it and restart?

You might want to start over to make sure.  How I signed up was by first going to : https://www.drip.com/shopify
Then i clicked (Sign up with Shopify).

This is what walked me through the steps to set it up through the app and connecting the two accounts. If you are trying to connect with a different email not associated with your Shopify, this is where you may need to set up a CNAME manually. But some hosting services wont let you use CNAME records and you have to set up using  MX records and TXT records instead. These need to be requested from: support@drip.com.

Also if you still have trouble, that email will get you in touch with someone that can help you out if needed.

  • Thanks for the response! So I uninstalled it. I went to the link you sent and it then said "Log in to your Shopify Store". I did, but it then says my store name is not valid.  😅 Not sure what to do!!

Oh, I got it synced. It's still giving me the same errors!!

Says I need to add the CNAMES - 3 of them and the DMARC

Hey, @Westcottage1

Happy to help. Are you able to add the 3 CNAME + DMARC to your domains DNS settings? Could you provide a screenshot of what you see on your end?

If there is anything else I can help you with, please let me know.
