Hey, so I recently made my website on shopify. I haven't advertised it one bit for 2 months. Nobody should be finding it because it isn't advertised and nobody should be interested since I have a 2000$ item on it which you can find on 100s of other more authoritive stores.
But still I get about 3-5 emails a day from people posing as customers and shopify partners. Some are authentic and claim to be consultants and marketing/website firms sending me messages from gmails with A I generated content in the emails.
I believe all of them are coming because of storeleads database.
Since all of these feel like phising emails and most of them are trying to trick me, I'd like to block these emails and get unlisted of databases like storeleads.
Anyone got a simple solution or any experience with this?
Hi @LeifurE
Many scrapers like Storeleads scrape the public Shopify stores. Minimize Exposure: Do not enable your store's storefront password until you have uploaded your products and then disable the password. txt rule to block crawlers. And filter out spam by creating email rules (such as block Gmail with common AI phrasing). Avoid replying to unknown senders.
