All things Shopify and commerce
Hi there -- when we began setting up our store, we enabled inventory tracking on our products, but we've since realized that doesn't suit our store well and would like to remove it on all products. However, the product listings that were set up with tracking no longer have an option to remove it. And since we have hundreds of products, we don't want to have to edit each product separately either. Is there way to turn off inventory tracking for every product in a store?
Solved! Go to the solution
This is an accepted solution.
You can go to Products and tick the box next to "Product" and "Select all 50+ products"
After that you can select "Edit products"
and show the Track quantity field by clicking the Columns button.
From there you can select all products and update the field.

That worked! Thank you for your help!
outdated.
There is no such option no more.
Great feature.😀
Is there an updated solution for this since this process no longer works?
Hi! It’s there.. follow the above by choosing the products that you don’t want to track. Click the bulk option for editing. Bulk option only comes up IF you choose more than one product. Again, choose items that you don’t want to track.
In the right hand top of page, choose “columns”. It will bring up a list of columns you want to view. In there is the “track quantity/inventory” column. It will not be checked if you don’t already see that column in the main view of the page.
Check that box. The “track quantity/inventory” column will pop in. It will have a check mark in all the products that are being tracked.
UNCHECK the ones you DO NOT want to track. Save. Refresh. The products you unchecked will no longer be tracked.
*if your on a computer, you can click on one product square (the box that holds the tracking check mark box) and click on the little circle/dot on it to drag the highlight to the bottom or wherever you want to stop it at. This should help you choose multiple products and uncheck many at a time. You can do this for separate sections as well. Start at the product you want and just drag the circle or dot if you will - at each product you choose.
It worked for me today 6/28/2023.
Thanks that worked for me! You can drag the cell as a normal spreadsheet in order to uncheck all the ticks at once.
