All things Shopify and commerce
When I draw the order data from Shopify for a given period, and then draw the corresponding data from Google Analytics (Conversions, Ecommerce, Sales Performance), there are instances where Google Analytics is reflecting double the total value, or more, as shown by Shopify for the same order.
For example, a given order from Shopify will show 199.00 as the total value (including shipping and taxes), and then the Google Analytics will show this order's 'Revenue' (what Google Analytics' equivalent of Shopify's 'Total') as being 398.00.
What might be the reason for this?
Hi Dre_6,
I don't suppose you got this sorted at all.
We're having similar issues!
Hi,
No, we have not been able to solve this. Although, with us having to soon switch to Google Analytics 4, this issue may become redundant.
Hi @dre_6 did you find a solution for this? I'm experiencing a similar issue on our store. Pls help
Hi,
No, we have not been able to solve this. But because GA4 is soon to replace UA, we are not wasting any more time on this glitch.
It was sorted when we switched over to GA4, and did quality checks on the integration exercise to ensure no duplication was occurring.
