All things Shopify and commerce
I sell vintage clothing and accessories - that means not a single item has a barcode, gtin, or mpn.
I currently have about 250 items listed. Most of them have published to Google shopping once the required attributes were added, and "Custom" box checked.
30 to 35 items haven't published to Google, supposedly due to errors that I am supposed to resolve. When I click in to one of those items, most of them want me to add a gtin or mpn - which I don't have, because Custom. When I review the product's Google attributes, the Custom box is correctly checked, meaning I'm not supposed to need a gtin or mpn. If I uncheck Custom, Save, then recheck Custom, the error message will go away for a few minutes, suggesting the edit has been accepted. But it comes back. A few error messages are for Missing Values like age group, color, gender - the values are not missing. They are present and formatted correctly.

The free app you are using, has been broken, for already near to a year. You will find a lot of threads on this community for the same issue.
One way is to resolve it by editing the data using feed rules in Google Merchant Center, which I have explained here: https://youtu.be/AyvilyMb2Bo?t=199
You could also install a much better data feed solution such as: https://apps.shopify.com/multiple-google-shopping-feeds
Thank you for your response - I did watch your Youtube explanation about how to edit the data using feed rules. It was over my head - I struggled with setting up a feed for Google originally, and eventually entered the required data attributes one-by-one for every listing. A long agonizing process, but at least I understood it.
But I think I solved my own problem by following some of your breadcrumbs. I signed into GMC and clicked into the feed, and then into Products. I was able to pull up most (if not all) of the products with "Fix Suggestions", and edit each one to specify that they are vintage therefore Custom. Hopefully, the Merchant Center will apply my edits and show my stuff.
@Maggie2 yes the fix suggestions overwrite is also an option in resolving the issue, albeit one by one 🙂
You should see the data change in the diagnostics panel 30 minutes after you change it.
