All things Shopify and commerce
I'm seeking help regarding a suspension issue with my Google Merchant Center account. I recently set up my store's account on Google Merchant Center. My products were approved initially, but around 24 hours later, my account was suspended due to a "Misleading Description" policy violation.
I've carefully reviewed my store's content, and I've ensured that all policies are clearly stated and all contact methods are available on my site. However, I'm still unsure about what exactly triggered the suspension.
I would greatly appreciate it if someone with experience in this area could review my site and provide insights on what might be causing the issue. Any guidance on resolving this would be invaluable, as I'm keen to get my account reinstated as soon as possible.
Thank you in advance for your help!
Best regards
Hi, @omer0100.
Thanks for posting to the Shopify Community.
It looks like your Google Merchant Center account may have been suspended by Google due to misrepresentation.
Google does not share specific details on exactly what has caused the suspension. It is up to you to ensure that you are meeting all of Google's requirements. There are a list of steps that we have put together that may help in this case, though this does not guarantee that the suspension will be lifted.
1. Make sure you have filled out Google Fields on all products including the Google Category from the Google Taxonomy list.
2. Size, age, color, gender.
3. Add the product barcode (GTIN) if applicable.
2. Review the website and make sure you have your legal policies and contact page linked in the footer of your store. Legal policies should be fully customized to match the business - ensure there are no mentions of irrelevant products. Business emails should be customized too.
3. Check that products have unique titles and descriptions.
4. If available in your region, participating in Google's Customer Reviews program might help to build trust.
5. Review the Google Help Policy doc on the error and ensure you are in keeping with their policies.
6. Review the editorial and professional requirements from Google—pay -pay close attention to the section on pop-ups.
7. Grow My Store - Think with Google is a tool provided by Google that can assess customer experience on a website. Once the website address is added, you will receive a personalized report with tips on how to address any issues found. This is a third party tool and not supported by Shopify.
You will need to reach out to Google for a manual review to lift the suspension once changes have been made to the product/site. This can be done through the Merchant Center account under Products > Diagnostics > Account issues or in the Google Sales Channel.

That is a new one policy violation I have not seen before. I assume they are referring to product descriptions? But regardless of the type of suspension, you need to unfortunately go the extra mile and resolve all potential suspensions. Especially since you are already suspended.
For example, I see everythign is discounted, if this is a year round discount, then this is not allowed. And Google does not see it as a sale. As it is than just a normal price. I recommend if that is the case, to remove all the so called sales.
Don't use virtual addresses, you must use a real address where you are located. This is called misleading.
For example your descriptions are 100% A-I generated.
