All things Shopify and commerce
Hello,
I've such a problem:
- I've defined Variant meta-field mm-google-shopping.certification, with single line text type
- I've filled in correct values in that field, in format Google require: EC:EPREL:XXXXX (certificationAuthority, certificationName, certificationCode)
- I see that value on certain product in GMC but there is error: Invalid format for sub-attributes [certification] Include a separator symbol between each sub-attribute, and include all required sub-attributes
What is wrong?
Hi,
I was able to find the EPREL certificate here: https://eprel.ec.europa.eu/screen/product/electronicdisplays/1718658?navigatingfrom=regnumbersearch
So the number is correct.
I guess you may have something like a space after the cert number and that may be leading to the error.
If that is the case, you can use a Excel / CSV editor to remove the space.
Nope. There is no extra content here like spaces. Also - error is not related to Certification number but whole field.
Try changing the attribute name from certification to certification(certification_authority:certification_name:certification_code)
Sometimes depending on how data is submitted, the full attribute name with sub_attributes is needed.
In theory certification should work.
If that fails, try adding it manually using a spreadsheet as a supplmental feed, and see if you get the same issue.
Thanks for reply, but it doesn't work, still the same error.
I know that I can pass that values from a spreadsheet but I wan't to do it directly in one place, on Shopify products
what happens when you try to use a Google provided value in a spreadsheet. If that also does not work, then either something is not entered correctly, or Google is having issues, but I doubt it's a Google issue.
