Hi All,
I'd like some help with this Issue please.
I have made a lot of changes to my products' images, descriptions...etc. in Google Merchant Center and have seen much improvements in Google Ads since then.
But every now and again, those values will get overwritten by values coming from the Content API feed ( I can tell by the update date in Merchant Center).
How can I stop this in Google Merchant and keep only the values that I manually entered/updated 😞

I checked the feed settings in Google Merchant, it only allows three values to be either updated or not (Price, Availability and Condition).
Other values like Title and Description and Images get overwritten and that's so frustrating coze we spent a lot of time manually updating those 😞
With Google Merchant Center there is a hierarchy, below a video showing what overwrites what. Maybe this will help resolve your issue.
But if you manually edited data, it should not disappear, unless the product ID changed.

Thank you so much for taking the time to reply back to me and for the invaluable info in your video.
I checked my settings :
- I have no supplement feeds.
- I have only one rule to show the sale price not the RRP.
- I haven't made any changes to the product IDs.
Yet, Google Merchant would periodically go and update All my products from the Content API and overwrites everything that I adjusted manually.
I'm thinking if I remove Google Merchant account details from the Google APP on Shopify, would that delete my products completely from Google Merchant or only stop the sync ?
I understand doing this would stop any new products showing on Google Merchant but this doesn't concern me at the time being.
Based on your explenation, this can only happen if the products disappear, then re-appear. Manually edited product details can not vanish by itself. The only case it can happen, is when the product has disappeared. Either this is an app issue or something with Shopify.
Yes, it possible removing account details will delete all products.
My recommendation is to either contact Google for this issue: https://support.google.com/merchants/contact/shopify_3p_support_app
