All things Shopify and commerce
This is crazy!!!! I have 2 shopify stores. One is new and the other is 10+ old. Both setup the same exact way and both now disabled on google for misrepresentation within a week. The older one has been working great with google and has over 12000 sales and almost 900 postive reviews. I changed nothing in the past 2 years. All of a sudden I get the dreaded Misrepresentaion email. All my traffic just stopped because they allow a computer to give these approve and dissaprove. I've tried everything. I even got a rep to talk to me via email and they can't tell me what is actually misrepresented. So I now have 2 stores that I can't connect to google and they can't say why exactly. They had no problem taking $400 mothly for ads for the past 10 years.
Google generally suspends merchants that have multiple websites, that is a common reason. The reason is that Google does not want abuse of ad network. IE double serving.
The only hope you have, is to close down the newest website and accounts. And make sure you only use the original website, account. And then check the below policies to see what other issues you are violating.
I am having the same issue. The thing is that I am migrating yet; it should work, shutting down the old Store when i am fully on the new one?
Regarding the GMC account, best to use the same account, you can migrate the new domain by verifying and claiming the website in GMC.
Then yes, you can close down the old hosting company website.
