Google Misrepresentation Policy

Google Misrepresentation Policy

Since 2018, I had a pair of Shopify sites, Jeff's Vintage Treasure and Jeff's Treasure Chest. In 2022, I decided to branch out into other areas as well (comic books, sports cards, collectibles, etc.) but to keep them all under one roof, as it were, and so last year I created Jeff's Curiosity Shoppe (www.jeffscuriosityshoppe.com) and over time moved all of the merchandise from the original stores to the new one, and closed the originals. I moved the domains from the original stores to the new one and they now point to the new domain.

I've been down since July and eventually was hit with the misrepresentation violation issue. What puzzles me to no end is that my new store had essentially the same policies, etc., as my original stores and never had a problem. Between the two original stores over almost 6 years, I had 2 returns that were handled immediately (one was a manufacturer error, the other was a shipping error on our part). Our policy is to not accept returns unless we have instances such as I just noted.

The format of our new store -- and feel free to check it out -- is to show all of our different "shops" on our landing page and the customer can visit whatever store (all within the same website) as they choose. I can't see how there is any violation there, as it is all under one roof. There should be no confusion or anything that suggests "misrepresentation" (a term which I find offensive, as I never have, nor will I ever  try to scam someone).

I will add that I have changed my policies sever times over the past couple of months to try and please Google, in fact I think pretty much everything has been tweaked so many times I probably have inadvertently taken a step backwards trying to fix this nightmare.

I have asked multiple time for specifics, and of course, I get the standard AI response, and the Google policies are so inherently ambiguous that all I can do is guess (incorrectly, obviously) as to what the problem might be.

I read that Google will not provide specifics regarding Google policy issues because they don't want to tip off the so-called "bad actors" whose sole intent is to scam others.

Imagine a police officer writing you a ticket but refusing to tell you what it's for, and instead telling you that the answer can be found within the legal system -- somewhere

It would never fly, but somehow this does,,,

Anyway, any help would be greatly appreciated!
