With the future updates to the Checkout page. Customer actions on our account has Tiktok, Meta & Google & Youtube.
Meta & Tiktok are showing as active, but Google & Youtube is showing as "Disconnected" despite a very active Merchant Center & Ads account with no issues.
Google Support directs me to Shopify Support and vice versa leaving me in a lovely loop of frustration.
Have you experiened this, and been able to rectify it? I have tried removing the app with no luck.
I noticed this as well. While I do avoid using Google and youtube app due to it's many random issues. When I have a client, I move to manually install conversion and remarketing pixels. And since maybe 2 weeks ago I started to see the google and youtube app as disconnected in the customer events. Because I was not going to use it, I was not thinking much about it. But I am guessing that the existing tracking is using the old method, and they are migrating to use the pixel version, but not ready.
Same Issues I have been facing for a long time. Since after update of 14 Aug 2024, manual tracking is very hard, so I tried to track through this app.
May I know where to raise the complaint of it.

Its really frustrating.
Google and YouTube app is having issues after the checkout update. it is not optimized yet.
if you face any difficulties with tracking for google analytics 4 and google ads it would be better to go for Google Tag Manager.
