Google Shopping App

Hi there,

 

So we were using the google shopping app, but just yesterday, we since switched to a new app that uploads our feed a bit better and we like it. However,  we had a question and we're nervous to fully remove the google shopping app due to the linkages it has to google ads and merchant center.

 

Basically, we found this linked to our google ads account

And we want to remove it. This looks like it was added by the google shopping app as i've done my research, but will something happen if we revoke this access and delete the app?

 

Basically, what will happen if I disconnect it because we don't use the native google app anymore. Will our feed disappear but then be re-uploaded by the new google shopping feed app we use you think?

This is an accepted solution.

When you disable the app two things happen.

 

1) Your products are no longer submitted via that app to Google Merchant Center.

 

2) If you used the smart shopping app that was created by that app, it will automatically be paused. All you need to do is enable it again in Google Ads after removing the app.

This is an accepted solution.

When you disable the app two things happen.

 

1) Your products are no longer submitted via that app to Google Merchant Center.

 

2) If you used the smart shopping app that was created by that app, it will automatically be paused. All you need to do is enable it again in Google Ads after removing the app.

1) Your products are no longer submitted via that app to Google Merchant Center. - So for this, we have another feed that should take the place of this anyway - i just can't tell which feed it is right now. if it is the google ads app, then the new feed will just take the place.

 

2) If you used the smart shopping app that was created by that app, it will automatically be paused. All you need to do is enable it again in Google Ads after removing the app. Will do! We do google shopping ads from google ads and/or merchant center so we'll re-enable those if those pause.

1) When using Content API, yes it is impossible to know which one is still submitting in GMC, because both apps are listed as content API. Simply remove the old app you no longer need.
