A number of followers are DM'ing me on Instagram saying that the linkpop link in bio is broken. Every time I click it it seems fine but I'm now getting multiple messages saying its not working (below is a screenshot). Has anyone else experienced a similar problem? It's not obvious to me what I can do to correct it - any advice would be gratefully received.
Thanks

Dear Laurat1,
Thank you for patience dealing with this issue, it should have now been resolved.
The linkpop.com domain name was getting mistakenly blocked by some specific Internet Service Providers. Because of the nature of this issue, it is difficult for me to reproduce it on my end and confirm that is has been solved specifically for you and/or your followers.
Sorry about the disturbance.

Hello,
Thank you for taking the time to report the problem.
Would you mind sharing the address of the linkpop page so I can look further into this issue? You can use a direct message if you wish to not share your page publicly.
Any further information would be helpful, such as information about the device and web browser of the followers that are reporting the error to you.
Regards,
Marwan.

Hi, I posted a reply but for some reason it is not yet visible. I will try again. I am having the same issue but only on desktop. It is not loading when I click on the link via Instagram or when I search for linkpop from within Shopify. But mobile appears to be unaffected. Can you please advise?
Hi Ricky,
Can you please give us an update about this? Or we will have to look into alternative and switch to other link services to avoid loss of business.
Thank you.
Best,
Monique
Hi Ricky
Thanks for replying. It's linkpop.com/inspiremyplay. I think the followers having issues we likely trying to access it via mobiles. I don't have any further info on web browsers etc.
Thanks
For the time being I have had to revert to using direct.me as an alternative link in bio
I am having the same issue on my computer, but it is working fine on mobile. I get an error in Chrome that says "This site can't be reached." When I search for linkpop in Shopify, I get an error message that says "linkpop.com’s server IP address could not be found."

Hey there, i'm facing the same problem as well. Are you able to access your linkpop yourself or was it only your clients having difficulties?
I cannot access it anywhere via desktop. I am able to access and edit via mobile.

It was working but is now down again... I can't rely on an unstable app like this and will have to look for an alternative. I was hoping for something better!!
Hello Purbeckclothing,
Which internet access provider are you using? It seems like BT is still blocking linkpop in the UK and we are working with them to resolve this issue.
Sorry about the inconvenience.

Hi, yes it's BT. Hopefully you can get it resolved.
We're having the same issue, any update on when this might be resolved?
@RickyMarou - can you update this thread once you have confirmation from BT that this issue has been resolved, please. TIA.
Linkpop not working on Instagram. Is this going to get fixed or is this a writeoff product? Please be honest.

Hi Ricky, I am having the same problem with my shopify link ! linkpop.com/bloire
Could you help me with it ?
The link is broken right now again, saying the site cannot be reached. It has been like this for over a week. Is anyone else having these issues again? I use it for our business so it is very essential.
I have had the exact same issue. I did try and work with support but I can't even get into LinkPop to change things, so I moved to LinkTree instead. Support did try and offer solutions like ensuring my browser is up to date- it is-, clearing my cache- I did-, but nothing was working. I tried sharing the actual text on my screen so they could read what was going on, but support just kept asking for screenshots over and over and never acknowledged that I was actually sending what was on the screen. So I called it quits, and I will rely on LinkTree for now. There are paid plans but also a free option that is good, and it can be attached as a sales channel. Best of luck! Amanda
Hello,
Did you find a solution for this error? Over the past few months I have been dealing with errors such as link pop redirecting clients to another link pop user when using my business link. It once sent them to a vulgar and provocative webpage. This seems so unprofessional and unstable to clients and potential clients when they are trying to connect with my store. I am considering switching to link tree. How do you like it so far? I was really loving the free option with link pop, but this is so annoying. All customer support does is ask for screenshots, and then say that they ca not replicate the problem.
Hey, I never did find a solution, and support wasn't able to figure it out. Instead of wasting more time on it, I moved to LinkTree. I like it a lot, and I have a paid subscription for it. I get insights, and no errors, and they add new features pretty frequently- and it's dead easy to use.
It would have been amazing to use linkpop, but given the sheer volume of issues, and no resolutions- Shopify is clearly not prioritizing this.
Here's the issue. When shopify bought linkpop.com they moved the domains to linkpop.shopfy.com. BUT when you publish to linkpop it is still pointing to the original domain. I have spent hours on the phone trying to get Shopify to see this basic problem. Still broken.
Hi Ricky, are you able to help me? I’m having the same issue now. I’m able to access it myself on both my Instagram accounts but people are not able to access it. With the same error as OP
Hi, I'm having the same issue with
Hi Ricky, we are also having this issue. https://linkpop.com/shop-social-threads
Hey, just my own personal experience here, you are likely better off moving to Link.tree or Milkshake. It's been a few years and while some people have found workarounds, Shopify hasn't updated Linkpop, or put out any bug fixes- and I read ALL the emails they send. If socials are how people access your site primarily, being 100% confident that your links are accessible is quite important! I have been using Link.Tree- the paid version- for about a year now, and they have added some pretty great new features that I really do enjoy. Best of luck figuring it out- I completely understand any frustration you are experiencing with Linkpop.

Certain providers still won't allow the page to open. Can you provide any assistance?
I am having the same problem 😤

This has happened once again.... why does this keep happening? It is a huge issue when there are new users and customers on your Instagram page and then looks so unprofessional when the link breaks...
I am still struggling with this as well. Additionally, there are IG accounts using it who don't know their link is broken. I know because I have tried to use a few other ones to get to an IG accounts website to make a purchase, and get the same screen that I was getting on my own. I am using LinkTree but I might move to Milkshake this week. Both have free options to create the link and simple ways to customize the colour schemes.
This has been ongoing for a while with Fido ISP in Canada.
I made a thread on their community forum months ago, but haven't gotten any help from them. here's a link to my post in their forum.
If I set a custom DNS (ie. Google's 8.8.8.8) on MacOS, iPhone or Windows 11 then I can get through to linkpop pages. But if I'm on the default Fido DNS or on Cellular (where DNS cannot be set), then Fido blocks the page.
Linkpop URLs used to work but stopped in April and haven't come back. Are you able to communicate with Fido or Rogers directly? Given how Shopify is a significant Canadian company, you should be able to make this work.
Hi Laurat1 and others, I'm bumping this from 2025 as I'm now having the same issue with my LinkPop links. Multiple users have reported that this link is "broken" and showing a message "This Site's Security Certificate is Not Trusted". These links and our site have had no recent changes and we can't replicate the issue in our office. Did you ever find a solution or was this something Shopify had to resolve for you?
