How do you you include Holiday Bundles under products? We need to add Flat Rate shipping to them and cannot right now. They do not show up as products and therefore a new shipping profile cannot be added.

Hi @apsteele

From what I gather, you've created these "Holiday Bundles," but they're not showing up in your product list in a way that lets you apply a specific shipping rate to them. This usually happens when bundles aren't set up as actual Shopify products. Don't worry, there's a pretty straightforward way to tackle this so you can get that flat rate shipping in place for your holiday shoppers.

Here’s what I reckon you can do to get those Holiday Bundles to behave like products so you can set up your flat rate shipping:

Treat Your Bundles as Regular Products

In Shopify, the easiest way to manage shipping for specific items, like your bundles, is to make sure they are set up as actual products. This way, Shopify sees them as items you sell and lets you manage their shipping just like any other product.

Here’s how you can do it:

1-Create Product Listings for Each Bundle: Instead of just grouping items together in some other way, you'll want to create individual product listings for each of your holiday bundles.

  • Go to Products in your Shopify admin and click Add product.
  • Give your bundle a clear Title (e.g., "Holiday Spa Bundle", "Festive Treat Bundle").
  • Add a Description that clearly lists what's included in the bundle.
  • Upload Images of the bundle so customers can see what they're getting.
  • Set your Price for the entire bundle.
  • Under Inventory, make sure to track inventory if you want to manage stock levels. You can choose to track inventory for the bundle as a whole, or not track it if you're managing inventory at the individual item level.
  • In the Shipping section, this is where the magic happens! Make sure "This is a physical product" is checked. Enter the weight of the bundle. This weight will be important for shipping calculations if you're not just using flat rates for everything else.

2-Here’s a quick peek at what the product creation page looks like (though yours will be filled with your bundle details!):

(Since I can't directly insert images, imagine a screenshot here of the Shopify "Add product" page, highlighting the Title, Description, Images, Price, Inventory, and Shipping sections, especially the "This is a physical product" and "Weight" fields).

3-Set Up a New Shipping Profile for Bundles: Now that your bundles are actual products, you can create a specific shipping profile just for them. This is where you'll set your flat rate.

  • Go to Settings and then Shipping and delivery.
  • Scroll down to Shipping profiles and click Create new profile.
  • Name your profile something like "Holiday Bundle Shipping".
  • Click Add products and search for the product listings you just created for your holiday bundles. Add all of them to this profile.

4-(Imagine a screenshot here of the "Shipping profiles" page in Shopify settings, showing the "Create new profile" button and the "Add products" option within a shipping profile).

5-Add Your Flat Rate in the New Profile: Within your new "Holiday Bundle Shipping" profile, you can now set up your flat rate zone.

  • In your new profile, next to "Shipping to," click Create shipping zone.
  • Name your zone (e.g., "Domestic Flat Rate") and select the countries you want to apply this rate to.
  • Under "Shipping rates," click Add rate.
  • Choose "Set up your own rates."
  • Name your rate (e.g., "Flat Rate Shipping").
  • Enter the flat rate price you want to charge for shipping bundles in this zone.
  • Click Done, and then Save your shipping profile.

6-(Imagine a screenshot here showing the shipping profile setup, highlighting the "Create shipping zone" button, the "Add rate" option, and the fields for setting up a "Flat Rate Shipping" with a specific price).

By setting up your holiday bundles as products and then creating a dedicated shipping profile, you should be able to easily apply that flat rate shipping you're aiming for. This way, when a customer orders a holiday bundle, Shopify will recognize it as a product in your "Holiday Bundle Shipping" profile and apply the flat rate you've set.

If you need any other assistance, feel free to reply, and I will try my best to help.

Best regards,

Daisy.
