All things Shopify and commerce
Is anyone else receiving vast amounts of visits from non-buyer/non-subscriber customers with a hotmail.com email account in 2024? I have loads and loads of these and not one has bought a thing or subscribed. Do you know what exactly this phenomenon is and how to inoculate my store from what I suspect are less-than-viable shoppers?
Hi there, @ArcaneDameLLC. Thanks for taking the time to reach out to the Shopify Community Forums with your question around your store traffic. My name is Imogen. It's good to meet you!
When you have a store readily available online, there is the chance that users from all over the world may visit your store, or folks may be exploring your store using data crawling functionality. This is the nature of having any page or content live on the internet, and just a reality of having assets available online for access.
If you wanted to look into setting up prevention methods to stop users from accessing your store based on information you've collected from their visits, you can look into installing a third party Blocker App to your store. The page I hyperlinked includes several examples of apps you can consider using to help you prevent users from accessing your online store based on country, region, or even IP Address.
