All things Shopify and commerce
Hey everyone,
I’m curious—has anyone found an effective way to run Instagram or Facebook giveaways that actually result in more sales or signups for your Shopify store, rather than just likes or random followers?
What tools or strategies have made tracking entries easier, ensuring fairness, and converting entrants into customers? Any workflows or apps you’d recommend? What have you tried? What are your pain points when launching a giveaway connected to your Shopify store?
Looking for real-world tips or tools that make a measurable difference!
Thanks,
Eduardo

Hello Carolina. May I ask what tools are you using for collecting emails? Coupons, etc?
Have you tried Giveaways apps? Gleam has some free templates you can try...
Cheers
Hello Eddy that's a great question
What’s worked is actually the giveaway entry tied to an action, like entering an email or completing a small purchase for bonus entries. Tools like Gleam (which I see you know!), UpViral, or KingSumo make it easy to track entries and automate follow-ups.
However for better conversion:
You can make use of Klaviyo to send a thank-you series and a discount to non-winners.
Also, keep the prize relevant to your store (so it can attract great buyers)
Tips: Run ads retargeting the entrants afterward — warm audience!
Hope that helps! Curious what results you’ve seen too.
Thank you..
Hello!, Thanks for your answer. And what made you jump from Gleam, to UpViral and KingSumo? thats quite a travel history there.
And Yes, I am the Growth Marketing Manager of Gleam. So your feedback is highly appreciated.
Cheers,
Eddy
Hey Eddy! Haha, yeah — it has been a bit of a tour 😄
Gleam is also awesome, it is easy to use and integrate, but we tested UpViral and KingSumo mainly out of curiosity and to compare feature depth + pricing models.
Besides, each tool has its own strengths — like UpViral’s funnel-style builder or KingSumo’s simplicity for quick launches.
With that been said, we often come back to Gleam for reliability and flexibility — especially when syncing with Shopify and email tools.
Happy to share more detailed feedback if it's helpful. Appreciate you being here!
