How can customers search for compatible parts using conveyor serial numbers?

We sell products that are sold as a serialized products (Not sold through Shopify) what we are using Shopify for is for customers to come and purchase parts for their conveyors they previously purchased. Every conveyor has a serial number tagged to it. Is there any way we can have customers input their serial numbers and it will show all compatible parts? I think this could be done with tags but we have over 30k serial numbers so Im not sure how we would keep all those tags accurate

I think you can use SKU slot instead for serial numbers. You can edit your product in one page by using the product editing by shopify or CSV.

I'm not sure how that helps us. I have one part that will work on maybe 2500-5000 serial numbers. So when I type any of those 2500-5000 serial numbers I would like this part to show up

The app allow you to upload millions serial numbers - and each serial numbers can associate with products or some files to download (this is how you link the serial numbers to the part products available to purchase in your cases)

Here are the steps to make it work for your situation

1. Upload all the serial numbers with their associated products/downloads etc to the app (prepared in a CSV file)

2. Show the frontend link to the customer, here is what they see

3. Customer enter the serial number, it will show the data associate with it if the serial number is valid, otherwise show not valid serial number

As you can see if the serial number is valid, then it will show the product associate with it or the data available for download (e.g the product manual etc)

All the description and text are customizable, which means you can put anything there like show a image of product with serial number to show where they can find the serial number etc
