How can I add a 'How Did You Hear About Us?' function to my website?

Hello!

 

I need add a "How Did You Hear About Us?" function to my website (ShayrdAir.com), so I know where my customers are coming from.

 

Could someone please help me? If it requires more than providing step-by-step directions, I'm prepared to pay for the project. FYI .. I'm using Out Of The Sandbox's Parallax Theme.

If you're trying to add it after the customer purchases something, there are free apps. I'd recommend Zigpoll - they already have a template for what you need (see image)

As for making it as a required field, I don't think that's possible. The apps themselves does not modify the checkout page, only what comes after checkout, like an upsell or after-purchase CTA or after-purchase message. If you want to modify the actual checkout page or have apps modify it for you, you'll need to have Shopify Plus. There is never really a way around that.

Multiple options are available with the app I mentioned, specifically Zigpoll. See photo. But again, if we're talking about Checkout related, you'll need to have Shopify Plus for modifications. As for post-purchase modifications, no need for Shopify Plus.

Hey @TimDono1 !

Sounds like a survey or a form that collects data from customers or visitors.

Free option would be to use google forms and add it inside your website, however I think your design options are limited. There are alot of tutorials on how to add it in your website.

As for paid options, you can have design freedom and there are Jotform, Typeform, and many more providers. Their basic pricing starts at $25/month. Each provider also has guides on how to add it into your website.

What exactly are you looking for? Do you want such functionality as a pop-up or as a page? Do you want it to happen after the customer checks out?

Quick question .. Is there a way to require it as a field during checkout with any of the apps?

 

I'm thinking of providing multiple choice options like: Instagram, TikTok, Podcast, Facebook Group, Event, Other
