How can I add a 'Load More' function to a regular page?

I'm trying to find some documentation on how to add a 'Load More' function to a regular Shopify page. For example, one of my designers added several testimonials to a page and rather than get an app and have them all re-programmed, I was hoping there was a way to add a 'Load More' function to the page so it only loads a certain number at a time. Is there a way to do this without a Testimonials app and it being on a regular page (not a collection, product or shop page)?
