How can I add a PDF to an order confirmation email?

How can I simply add a PDF (as an attachment) or PDF link to an order confirmation email to all/new customers? Is this simple or do I need to pay for a coder?

Hi @CarrieJean,

It will be hard to add an attachment using the Shopify email. However, you can attached a link for customer to download. 

Add the file in your website:

1. From you Admin page, go to Contents, then Files

2. Upload the file you want

3. Copy the link 

Add the code in the email notification:

1. From you Admin page, go to Settings on your lower left hand corner, then Notifications

2. Go to customer section, and Customer 

3. Click the "Customer account welcome" and Edit code

4. Find the {{ email_bo }}

5. On the closing bracket, usually </p>, add the code below

NOTE: Change the href to the file you want.

I have the same question but then it depends on the products purchased.
So we want a manual to be included in the confirmation mail when is a specific product is purchased.
We have more than 30 different products with separate, specific manuals.

Can you help us out please?

It would be best to use the product metafields. Use the file metafield.
