Hi @ellowwwteam,

It is not possible to add the same blog post to multiple blogs on your store; you'd need to duplicate the post and add it to each one if you wanted it to appear in both. May I ask why you want this article to appear in multiple blogs?

Hey, @Ritikaaaa.

Thank you for reaching out and posting this question!

When adding a blog post, the blog post will be considered the category and you can continue to add blogs under this category. However, if you'd like to create more categories, then you can create additional blog posts by managing your blogs.

If you have any other questions on this topic, then don't hesitate to let us know.

Hi Victor,

I am having the same challenge - we are keen to set up blog 'categories' for topic that has relevant articles. But we would also like to have a category that includes all the blog posts for people to scroll through. I have attached a screenshot - can you please clarify: Do we need a category for each topic and then one called 'All Stories' with duplicates of the blog posts in there? If so, is this a problem for SEO etc if the same blog as two urls / will it effect our websites performance with Google ads etc?

Thanks in advance for your help!

We also need this. Why? The simple matter is that there are blog posts that are relevant to multiple topics, and so a format where each blog post can only belong to one single category is not enough for our store. Based on my Google searching, there are lots of other who have this need as well.

Why not use Tags? Each blog post can have multiple tags, so that's good.

However,

  • it is not possible to create custom pages based on the blog post tags. Eg not possible to add a custom description or intro text.
  • Shopify does not include the ability to filter related posts based on tag. You can only show posts based on what "blog" they are in.

If those above two features were added to tags, then that would actually be a much better solution than adding multiple categories, eg "Blogs," to one post....

Is this anywhere on the roadmap?

I'd like to share a use case of one to many relationship on manages blogs. i.e create a recipe catalogue, one recipe is likely assign to many categories. The steak fries can be allocated under dinner category and grill category. The way Shopify manages blog is not flexible and duplicate blogs is really not so smart.
