How can I add physical addons to digital card sales?

Hello. I'm trying to sell custom digital cards to people. There are no shipping costs, as they are digital. However, we want to add an option for the customer to buy prints or posters of the cards they are ordering, which would be physical copies with a shipping cost associated. How would I go about doing this?

I've seen some things going over digital addons instead, but those didn't really answer this question.

You can list them as two variants - Digital cards and Digital + Physical cards. 

Against both, you can set them as custom deliverables in Wire. With Wire, You can attach and send the digital card by email once it's ready.

Prints and posters are two different things on the site, and they have a few different sizes to choose from. How would I account for that?

Then, Print and Poster can be two different products (and even a collection). 

Sizes being a variant under each of them. This could be an appropriate solution in your case

If I understand correctly, you are looking to sell digital cards that do not require shipping. However, you also want to offer customers the option to purchase a physical version of the same product, which does require shipping. You are seeking a way to incorporate these options into a single product listing or page, is that correct?

If that's the case, I recommend treating the digital attachment as a separate product that can be purchased individually or together with the physical version. To encourage customers to purchase both, I suggest two options:

1. Bundling: Display bundles below the "Add to Cart" button on the product page. Customers can add the bundle, which includes both the digital card and the physical print, to their cart. The bundle should appear as separate products in the cart with a discount applied.
2. Upsell Pop-up: After a customer clicks "Add to Cart" for the digital card, an upsell app can offer the physical print or poster as an additional option for an extra cost.

When a customer adds both variants to their cart, whether through bundling or upselling, they should appear as separate line items in Shopify. The digital variant will be automatically delivered and fulfilled, while the physical item will remain unfulfilled until you manually fulfil it. The order will be marked as partially fulfilled until the physical item is shipped.
