All things Shopify and commerce
Hello,
I have refunded a customer but the refund is impossible because the fund is insufficient.
I want to cancel this refund because the customer wants to keep his order. How can I do this?
PS: the refund has not been done yet because there is this error message: insufficient funds.
Hi, @Businesshype
Thanks for posting!
If you haven't issued the refund, then there is nothing to cancel. If you see an error message that there are insufficient funds we won't continue to attempt to process the refund. You are good to go!
However, for future reference, if the refund was successful, there is no way to cancel a refund.
Hey i had the same problem but the money was deducted from my other payouts for customers who want to get there product will i be getting that money back ?
Hi, @VTR. When you issue a refund through Shopify Payments, the refunded amount is deducted from your next available payout. Since the amount was refunded to the customer it won't be returned. You can learn more about refunds with Shopify Payments here. If you'd like us to take a look at it with you in more detail, please reach out to our support team through the Help Center here.
