All things Shopify and commerce
Hello everyone,
Would some one suggest how we could mark the paid orders as unpaid. We had a problem for one of the customer for whom we marked the payment as paid but it turned out that the customer did not make the payment. Now the customer is refusing to make the payment saying that the orders are showing as paid on his side and he is not willing to pay.
Any help will be appreciated.

Hi,
As soon as an order has been marked as paid, you cannot mark it as unpaid.

Hi Nick,
Hasn't Shopify thought of a bounced check? What if this happens? There should be a way. Note that this is the topic that shows with a Google search, but the link included in your response no longer works. Perhaps update this topic with the current link to the solution.

Hello Madhuri_VauNow,
You can cancel the order of the customer by going into More Action and then Cancel Order in your admin. Select the appropriate reason for cancellation. Your customer will not be getting the order and hence he will have to pay to buy it. If he does buy it again, this time by paying for it then, click on Duplicate Order in More Action he will be getting the same order again.
Hope this helps...!
