Hi, there! Thanks for taking the time to reach out to the Shopify Community Forums with your question around editing this page content! My name is Imogen. It's great to meet you!
Depending on the theme you're using, you may be able to edit this wording straight from your Theme Editor within your Shopify Admin! You can go to 'Online Store > Customize' to work on the theme that houses this page. From there, use the dropdown to find the page in question. For you, this may be called the 'customer account' page. Once you've found the page, you can use the options available from the menu on the left side of the screen to edit the content, if that option is available.
In the case that you're unable to edit this content via this option, then you can use the default content editing tool for your theme to try to change this wording. When you to go 'Online Store > Themes', locate the theme you'e working on. Click the three dots (...) and select the option that says 'change default theme content'. This opens up our 'Default Content Tool' that you can use to change pre-determined wording in your theme across all sections of your store! You can use the filter bar to locate the text you want to change in question! Once found, you can then edit the default text (so the wording that would say 'please adjust the following' to something more accurate like 'please check your email'.
I hope this helps! Let us know if you have any questions!
