Change store name:

Admin > Settings > Store details > Change the store name by editing your "profile" settings.

Change domain name:

Admin > Domains > "change to a new myshopify.com domain" > enter the new name > click add domain.

Admin > Domains > 'connect existing domain' (if you've already purchased a new custom domain) or else 'buy new domain' > follow the prompts.

Change store name within policies:

Admin > policies > edit your policies to change any references of the old store name to the new one.

Change 'sender email' address:

Admin > Notifications > edit the email address under "sender email" to use a new email with the new store name.

Change 'brand' settings:

Admin > Brand > edit the images and writeups as needed, so that it reflects the new store name.

  1. Log in to your Shopify account: Access your Shopify dashboard by logging in with your credentials.

  2. Go to "Settings": In your dashboard, navigate to the "Settings" section. It's typically located at the bottom left corner of the screen.

  3. Select "General" settings: Under the "Settings" menu, click on "General". This will take you to the general settings page where you can edit your store details.

  4. Change your store name: Look for the "Store details" section. Here, you'll find various fields related to your store information, including your store name. Edit the store name field to reflect your new desired name.

  5. Save your changes: Once you've entered the new name for your store, scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the "Save" button to apply the changes.

  6. Update branding elements: After changing your store name, make sure to update any branding elements that display your store name, such as your logo, website header, email templates, social media profiles, etc.

  7. Communicate the change: If your store has an established customer base, it's important to communicate the name change. You can do this through various channels such as email newsletters, social media posts, website banners, etc. Be transparent about the reason for the change and reassure customers that your products and services remain the same.

  8. SEO considerations: Changing your store name might affect your search engine rankings. Monitor your website traffic and rankings after the change, and consider updating your SEO metadata (titles, descriptions, etc.) to reflect your new store name.

  9. Domain name: If you're using a custom domain for your Shopify store, you may need to update it to match your new store name. You can do this in the "Domains" section of your Shopify settings.

  10. Legal considerations: Depending on your location and the nature of your business, there may be legal implications to changing your store name. Make sure to research any legal requirements or consult with a legal professional if necessary.

By following these steps, you can successfully rename your Shopify store and ensure a smooth transition for your customers and branding efforts.
