When you get to the checkout and Shop Pay makes the customer put in their phone number, then it sends a text that says " 567439 is your Shop Pay vercodetion code"

I want this to say " 567439 is your (My Website) vecodeation code"

Hi, @NathanNeedham.

It isn't possible to change the Shop Pay verification text since this is a part of the Shop Pay checkout experience. That being said, I can definitely share your feedback on this with our development team. Are you noticing that customers are having trouble with the verification code?

Please let me know if you have any questions!

Thanks for the reply.

No there is nothing wrong with it, I just would rather the text say my own website verification than Shop Pay, looks better to the customer.

Hi Erin,

I hope you are doing good.

Is there a way to disable the verification code pop up? Our customers are having issues with checkout because of this.

Thank you.

Hi, @SoniaGeorge. I'm doing well. I hope you are too! Can you tell me more about the issues your customers are having?

The only way to prevent verification codes for Shop Pay is to disable the use of Shop Pay on your website entirely. The verification code pop up can happen in a few different situations, but this should only happen to customers who are opting in or have opted in to use Shop Pay. If a customer gets a verification code it's likely due to one of the following reasons:

  • The customer is using the same device that they used to opt in for the first time since setting up their account.
  • The customer is using a new device or a new browser.
  • At checkout, the customer selects Shop Pay.

Please let me know if you have any questions! You can also learn more about Shop Pay verification codes here.
