All things Shopify and commerce
I have situation where a product typically sells with free delivery if combined with a larger associated item. If the item is purchased by itself there is an additional delivery fee. I need to send the customer a link for them to be able to pay for the delivery fee remotely. Ideally a link attached to a manual invoice. How can this be achieved?

Hi, @AVID1!
Thanks for reaching out in our Community Forums and for sharing your concern, I’d be happy to help.
If you are looking for a method to offer your customer a secure method to pay an additional fee, you can create an order and send the invoice to your customer by email. If this interests you, feel free to follow the steps below:
Click on "add custom item" and input the shipping cost in the price section, while marking the item as not a physical product.
You can then add the customers information, toggle taxes, and add a note to the order.
Then, you can Send an invoice to the customer. By default, the invoice contains a link to a checkout that your customer can use to pay for the order.
There may also be a solution that would allow you to adjust your settings in our system to account for the different shipping fees and charge them appropriately. I recommend reviewing our shipping rates guide to learn more about how to implement this solution effectively.
Let me know how that goes!
