How can I combine two automatic discounts effectively?

I am trying to combine two automatic discounts with each other. The issue I am having is that its favoring the bigger discount. I want both discounts to be offered at their full amount. One discount is a buy y get x and the other is a product discount. And suggestions?

Yes you can do this. 

You will want to check to make sure both discounts are selected for accepting product discounts.

Go to your discounts 

>Click on your Buy X get Y Discount

>Scroll down to combinations

>Select Product Discounts - Select the one you want

Go to your Product discount

>Scroll down to combinations

>Click Product discounts and select the ones you want.
