How can I completely delete my account on Shopify?

How do I DELETE my account. Not just deactivate, DELETE. I am the AO. Shopify cannot set up my account so that I can cash out. That means they get to keep MY money. So, Shopify, Delete my account in it's entirety.

Thank you for reaching out to the Community. I'd be happy to provide some assistance with this request. To confirm I'm fully understanding, are you looking to remove all personal information from Shopify in addition to deactivating your shop?

If so, this can be completed with an erasure request. Prior to making this request however, you will need to ensure that all active shops have since been deactivated. To learn more about how you can close down your shop, you can check out our Pausing or Deactivating Your Store document. It outlines that you can:

• Head to Settings > Plan, from the Shopify admin.
• Click Deactivate store.
• If applicable, then review the options to switch to the Pause and build plan, or start a new store.
• If you still want to deactivate, then click Deactivate store.
• Select a reason for the deactivation, and then click Continue.
• Enter your password, and then click Deactivate now.

Once this has been completed, you can head over to our Privacy Page to make this request. There will be an option to Erase Data which will ensure that all personal information is removed from the platform. It's important to note that this request cannot be reversed once completed.
