How can I control and limit customer downloads of my digital products?

When the download link is emailed to a customer it can be clicked on as many times as the customer wants, yesterday I bought my own ebook  as a test and paid once and got three downloaded because I clicked the link 3 times, my history shows a client downloaded 25 times previously , how is this stopped and controlled ? - Kevin

Can you confirm if the limit is set to unlimited or to one download per customer? As mentioned in our help doc here, by default, all variants are set to unlimited.

Via that link you can learn how to update this and change the download limit to one per customer.
