All things Shopify and commerce
Hello,
I am wondering if anyone can help me out, I am trying to create a second product variant that is defined by the first variant choice. For instance once a product is selected under variant one choice I want only the colors available for that product under variant two:
As it is now if one variant one is chosen you can still click all variant colors the below image should only have "Yellow Ochre" available:
I thought loading the color against the first variant would do it but no such luck:

I actually managed to by pass this by excluding unavailable lines with a Custom Liquid insert.
What you're referring to is "conditional logic" -- which isn't something you can do with the built-in settings. You'd need a "custom product options" app to be able to only show specific options, based on the first set of choices.
https://apps.shopify.com/search?q=custom%20product%20options
So you would need one of the apps from the above link, and then you would make all of your options/variants through the app.
