All things Shopify and commerce
Hello,
We are looking to create a Shopify test environment, this store will be used by our developers to place orders and test any integrations with our WMS, fulfilling the order/item and sending data back to the store. We are not going to be selling any products, the store will be used for testing purposes.
To achieve this. Do I have to create an actual store with a basic plan or how could I create a test environment with a lower rate?
If you're looking to place test orders, then yes, you'd need a store on at least the basic plan.

Creating a test environment for ecommerce development is like building a sandbox for your digital playground! It's super crucial for an ecommerce web development company to have a safe space to try out new features, squash bugs, and experiment without risking the main site.
Setting up a test environment can be a game-changer! You get to play around with different plugins, themes, and functionalities without worrying about crashing your live site. It's like having a rehearsal before the big show!
Personally, I think using a staging site is the way to go. It mimics your live site environment, so you can see exactly how changes will look and function before pushing them live. Plus, it's a breeze to roll back changes if something goes wonky. Talk about a stress-free development process!
Would you happen to have a link on how to create the staging site from my current production site?
