How can I display automatic discounts on product pages and checkout?

Hello,

If you create an automatic discount, you can see the code at checkout but not on product page. Is there anyway I can change the product price in bulk or show automatically how much discount each product by creating an automatic discount code? I would like to show the sale price on the product page but also show the sale code at check out so that I know the product was on sale. If I change the price by changing the compare at price, it doesn't show that the product is on sale at check out.

Do you get what I mean? 

1. Sale price shown on product page so that customers can see how much discount each product has instead of finding out at check out

2. Sale price shown at check out so that I know the product was on sale.

For this one, I think you need to find one app to achieve.

I guess this app meets your expectations. It works similarly to an automatic discount but displays all the info together with upselling messages.

I understand what you mean! Unfortunately Shopify currently only display discounted price of products after a customer add them to cart / in checkout page, as the discounted price information is not available to the theme to display before they are added to cart. To achieve showing automatic discounted price, you will need custom coding and hard code the discount percentage / amount in the theme code (which can be cumbersome to update if the discount expires / changes in the future).

I have just made an app specifically to solve this issue , the app utilizes metafields and can display discounted price (from the automatic discount) on the product page / collection / search result. The app does not modify the product price / compare at price, so you don't have to worry about double discounts issue, the app also does not require you to create a new discount, you can use the existing automatic discount in your Shopify Admin to display the discounted product price.
